Cover in category: 'Fiction' > 'Small Category - Cover Contest Only'
As if moving to a new locale isn’t scary enough, Max encounters a tortured soul in the form of an eight-year-old boy named Jack and soon discovers that his new town of Ravencrest, Vermont sits upon a Nexus between worlds where folklore and myth are the mundane.
Max fears these are hallucinations brought on by epileptic seizures and that he is the reason for his parents separating. However, his new friends in Ravencrest suspect he’s having psychic visions and take him on a journey of exploration into mystical and spiritual practices like drumming, fire ceremonies, and tarot where he discovers the true meaning of Halloween and its origin in Samhain.
Book one takes place in the fall and subsequent novels to take place in winter, spring, and summer focusing on those corresponding holidays and inspired by Celtic, Norse, and Native American mythology.
