First Lines Contest 2017: Subject 37

Nathalie M.L. Römer Updated April 28, 2017
The first time I start to know that there’s somewhere outside this place called Utopus, was when at age thirteen I stood beside my father, and watched a woman walk away from us.

She still seems familiar to me even now as I look back.
