First Lines Contest 2020: Neptune and the Pollywogs
The LINE referred to in this book is the Earth's equator.

The equator is an imaginary line of latitude around the Earths circumference, halfway between the North Pole and the South Pole, where the surface of the planet is parallel to the axis of rotation. This equatorial line divides the surface of the Earth into the northern and southern hemispheres.
