Hey Everyone!! :-) I've got Ashley Chambliss in my APC spotlight, today!  Ashley is an active and supportive member of the   Authors-Professional Co-op  Facebook group and her children's fiction novel, When I Grow Up, I Want To Be Myself: Wigu, looks like an adorable story with a wonderful, positive message that celebrates diversity and tolerance! Here's the description: My story titled "When I Grow Up, I Want to Be Myself" was inspired by myself and many other little girls who struggle to stay unique in a world where most people look and think alike. #NewRelease #Announcement: Intrinsic Connections!

Hey Everyone!! Yep! That's right! It's here! ;-) Enjoy! Excerpt from Intrinsic Connections, book 2 of the Petri Dish Chronicles: Chapter One Dust and grit swirled around Petri as she lifted a hand to shield her eyes from the harsh glare of the star that the planet she was currently on orbited. In truth, it was one of three stars, but by far the largest. The other two had nearly burned themselves out and were well on their way to becoming black dwarves. They did little more than light the night sky enough for most beings to navigate easily. It was rarely completely dark on this world. Which was good, she reflected as she gazed out across the desolate landscape, since the remaining star made d...

Finally, A Good Cop When You Need One

Hey Everyone! I thought I'd share a little snippet from Captivated By The Winter King with you, today. With all the bad press cops seem to get, often with good reason, I thought it wouldn't hurt to remember that there are an awful lot of good cops too, who only want to help people.  Sheriff Gabe Chesterfield is a fictional character, but, as always, there's some truth in this fiction. Enjoy! :-) Excerpt from Captivated By The Winter King: The criminals he had arrested over the years had been motivated by different things. Some of the motivations Gabe could sympathize with. When people felt driven to crime because of poverty or addiction, he often felt bad for them. If possible, he tried to h...

Is The #Fun In The Chase Or In Being Caught? ;-)

Hey Everyone!! :-) I thought I'd give you a little something to start your weekend off right. Enjoy! ;-) Excerpt from Taken By The Huntsman: As she slowed to unfasten her clothing, a body slammed into her, knocking her to the ground. Her captor turned them both in the air so that she landed on top of him, but then quickly rolled her beneath him and pinned her. The scent of the one who held her drove her wild, and she grabbed him and pulled him closer. Sliding her hands up to his mass of hair, she grabbed two handfuls of it and pulled his face closer to hers. Reaching up, she placed her lips gently against his and inhaled deeply. This was what she needed. Cassie pulled her captor even closer ...

Oh, Those #Summer #Nights!

Hey Everyone!! :-) I thought I'd give you all a little inspiration to start the weekend off right. Enjoy! ;-) Excerpt from Bound By The Summer Prince: Turning her head, she barely caught a glimpse of a blur as he moved faster than her eyes could track. Suddenly, he was behind her, one hand gripped firmly in her hair at the base of her skull and the other arm wrapped around her arms and waist pinning her to his body. Gasping at how abruptly she had been yanked off of her feet, she struggled against his hold. His grip was like an iron band around her middle, she could feel the restrained strength in his body and it made her hot. Moaning, she relaxed against him and allowed her curves to melt i...

#Agent Thoth's #Personal Log: Day 559

Hey Everyone! :-) Agent Thoth discusses more of the trials and tribulations associated with living with hominids. Incidentally, if you've missed Agent Thoth's earlier entries, you can find them here:  Thoth's Journal Department for the Preservation and Confirmation of Intelligent Life (DPCIL) Agent Thoth's Personal Log   Day Five-Hundred-Fifty-Nine: There is one particular taxonomic class of arthropod that I find most intriguing. Morphologically, they differ from the majority of the other local arthropods in that they only have two body segments, as opposed to the more common three-body-segmented variety, and they possess eight legs instead of the more commonly observed six. There seem to be...

Something #New In The Works

Hey Everyone!! :-) I just wanted to give you all an update on what I've been up to lately.  Right now, Intrinsic Connections is being edited. I still hope to be able to release it before the end of this month, but I can't promise because I'm having to work around different people's schedules. But keep your fingers crossed, because there's still a good chance it will be out this month. :-) When I'm not working at my day job, or busy dissecting and rebuilding Intrinsic Connections, I've started working on a new project.  Don't worry, the third Petri book will still be written, and I have a couple more Spellbound Hearts stories to tell as well. But this book has been clawing at my brain, scream...

#NewRelease #Announcement: A #Symphony Of #Heart Strings By T.E. Hodden!

T.E. Hodden:   My story, A Symphony Of Heartstrings, is a return to familiar territory to me. Not just because it is short, romantic, and has a fantastical slant, or because it plays around with the rules and conventions of the Romance Genre (a game some would say I over indulge in), but because in a more literal sense, it is set in London. I should explain. I grew up in Kent, an hour and a bit from London by train. I can not pretend to be a native to the city, but I have visited, as a tourist, for job interviews, and for work. I have visited often enough that I should have had the sheen dull, and to start to lose the feeling of being awed. But I never quite have. Even as London becomes more...

I consider this a strange habit, but have concluded she feels the need to compensate for her lack of proper facial fur. Many of these paints are stored in containers that make for a pleasant distraction when they are rolled across a flat...
