You are rejected - so what?

In your life, people will reject you. They will say NO because there is no spot for you in someone's life. It happens. People are like in a puzzle game, sometimes you are the piece that doesn't fit in.Your attitude matters. It is not the same as how you accept rejection. If you yell, scream or treat with revenge, you are childish. If you cry or beg, you are desperate. If you swallow this in silence and don't look back, you are mature.During life, you will lose business opportunities. You will lose possible partners for relationships. You will lose friends.Even if you are very smart and very beautiful, there will always be someone who will say NO. Do you think you can have every man if you are ...

Book Review: “Bloodline Curse” by Arthur Crandon ️️️️️

It’s been a long time since Arthur Crandon’s debut novel “Deadly Election,” but it was worth the wait. Step aside, Stephen King! Arthur Crandon is taking your place. Arthur tells this oriental story as a troubadour of lore would, sitting around the fireplace on a dark and dreary night. He is a master of terror … Continue reading Book Review: “Bloodline Curse” by Arthur Crandon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ →Original link

Book Review: “Life-Changing Money” by Mike Slavin ️️️️️

In a short 45 minutes I enjoyed an action-packed short story designed as a prequel to a series; a brilliant move for a new author. Having met the protagonist in the prequel the reader is already familiar with Jeff Case before delving into the series; a delectable morsel whose flavor can but enhance what follows. … Continue reading Book Review: “Life-Changing Money” by Mike Slavin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ →Original link

What to do when a guy ignores you?

Ignorance is the sister of disrespect. They are closely related. If a person ignores you, it means you are not worthy of their time. It happens to everyone. Don't believe when someone says "I am busy", as an excuse. Yes, we are all busy, we live with a busy schedule, but the day is long 24 hours and in this time we made priorities. So, guess are you in the priority list if someone ignores you a day, week, or a month? The answer is no.When you wish to hear news from someone or stay in contact, you will make an attempt. It is better to be alone than with fake friends

Some people love to live in illusion. Nobody comes to your birthday party? Don't pity yourself, if you are alone, you are in a good company. On the other hand, imagine that 10 people come to your birthday, and nobody of them isn't loyal.Dubravka organized birthday in a coffee bar.  She gathered 10 girls to celebrate her 18th birthday. They came with gifts and she paid them drinks. Those were her guests. Until she was unpacking gifts, they talked to each other and neglected Dubravka. Readers' Favorite Review of 'Something Called Permafrost'

I was delighted to receive this review of 'Something Called Permafrost' from Reader's Favorite"I enjoyed this quick tale because it tells a complete story in a relatively short space. Molly is the only character, and yet her role in the story is well developed and comes to a dramatic and surprising conclusion. The story moves quickly in a straight exposition form, with no dialogue or interaction between characters, except the strange interactions between Molly and the frozen man her team exhumes from the ice. Best of all, this is a great, quick read that you can enjoy in one sitting, just enough to spark your imagination and immerse you into a scene that's different from your day to day life...

Book Review: Finn & Annie, “The Case of the Wayward Ride” by Christopher Greyson. ️️️️️

I’m really turning into a Greyson short story addict! Christopher Greyson came up with a series of short stories, a half hour worth of reading each. The series is all about an insurance investigator who happens to draw mysterious cases, and an insurance photographer who happens to be one of the most fascinating characters I’ve … Continue reading Book Review: Finn & Annie, “The Case of the Wayward Ride” by Christopher Greyson. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ →Original link

Book Review: “The Kilwade Tragedy” by Terry Keys ️️️

This is a politically charged book about the senseless loss of young lives. It deals with the—sadly—all too familiar issue of mass murder at a school. The murderer was a boy who had been bullied and who believed his family didn’t care for him. There were drugs and alcohol, immaturity and serious depression. Terry Keys, … Continue reading Book Review: “The Kilwade Tragedy” by Terry Keys ⭐️⭐️⭐️ →Original link

Readers' Favorite Review of 'The Two Faces of Killer Kilbride'

The ambiance and period of the setting serve the story’s dark element well. The Two Faces of Killer Kilbride is an apt title; the townsfolk are enthralled with the lead character so much that they appointed him as the mayor. It seems they made the right choice until this likable man shows his dark side to the ones who are unfortunate enough to be his victims. Kilbride is so infallible that an unexpected turn of events only rattled him a bit. Nevertheless, I’ll say no more, just know that this short story will make readers ponder about the real 'Kilbrides' out there who know how to woo and eventually silent their unsuspected victims. With lyrical but tight prose, Kearns gives readers an enjoy...

Do you attract wrong people?

It happens that you wish to attract a certain person. Your vision is about someone who will support you, offer a shoulder for crying, someone you can lean on. Instead of this, you got a passive person who will not move a little finger for you. Or you got an egoist who just thinks of himself and his needs. It is wrong to blame a person who is in your life now. You could blame your choice, or research your character. What is inside of you that you attract someone like this? What kind of impression you leave? If you are a fragile woman, kind and obedient, you will attract a tough guy who will stand by your side and protect you.If you are a strong, independent woman, you will attract a soft man, p...

The Eden Cult | by Bill Halpin | Rougeski Book Review

The Cult of Eden
The Cult of Eden by Bill Halpin is a cautionary tale of human frailty and the unremitting power of the dark side. Will Battese is the quintessential good guy.  He loves his wife Shannon and his son Gideon.  He abandons his bucolic upstate country life to move to New York City and work as a waiter in a seedy restaurant so that his wife can savor her dream job.  Shannon, on the other hand, will not so much as forgo her maiden name for him.  In addition, she looks down on her husband’s pitiful paychecks.  Will, an ardent Christian, demonstrates his innate kindness by smuggling restaurant leftovers out into a nearby alley to feed homeless men.One day after work, Will and his friend Kavi return ho...

Book Review: “The Deceivers” by Alex Berenson ️️️️

Although I try to promote indies, from time to time I read established writers who publish traditionally. Alex Berenson is currently on book #12 of the John Wells series, and “The Deceivers” is it. John Wells is a former Army Ranger who has been working on contract with the CIA. The rigors of his work … Continue reading Book Review: “The Deceivers” by Alex Berenson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ →Original link

Review of Jeremiah Kildare and The Wolf of the same County

I just received this terrific review from Book Angel for my Short Story: Jeremiah Kildare and The Wolf of the same County. This is a short supernatural story which fits a remarkable amount in given its length. The writing paints a very quick picture of his current life and how he can to be living like that, and describes the kind of person he is, as well as the bleakness of the land he inhabits. As a character there is little to say about him, but as the only one in the piece, his silence is understandable, and his actions speak loudly for him. The supernatural element is kept until the end, but makes it's impact when it does appear.Overall, an ideal coffee break story to while away 15 minute...
