Beyond Gobsmacking

Just as I predicted in my post on July 18th, Gobsmacking (http://bit.ly/29OWql4), nothing is going to happen as a result of the Hillary’s scandals—Benghazi and email server. By the way, the email scandal gets worse. We now learn the FBI seems to have failed to mention that Clinton’s emails revealed that her longtime friend and advisor Sid Blumenthal, was reading and had Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Special Access, Gamma, information (John R. Schindler, EmailGate and the Mystery of the Missing GAMMA, 9/06/2016, Observer.com, http://bit.ly/2c8QNCp). Blumenthal doesn’t have a clearance. This type of information is only to be accessed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information ...

Never Forget

Fifteen years ago today was a day that changed our country. Never forget! Most of us remember that day vividly. Just as the generation that lived through the bombing of Pearl Harbor—A Date Which Will Live in Infamy.I hope these and other such days will never be forgotten. We cannot afford to forget. Innocent lives were lost as a result of these attacks. Even one American life is too many. As the saying goes, time heals all wounds. I don’t think so, I think we just learn to live with the loss and cherish the memories. It is very important to not forget these tragic incidents. When we do, we are destined to relive them again. They were horrific and unpleasant to remember. Some people just want...

High Stakes

Not high stakes poker but high stakes politics. Unless you have kicked your TV and busted the darn thing or live on Pluto, you are probably in overload with the politics. Am I right? I know I am. There is so much corruption, misinformation, political speak, and outright lies that make it very difficult to get a good picture of the candidate running for the highest office in the country. This is not a popularity contest, social experiment, nor is anyone owed the highest office. We are going to elect someone that has our safety and probably our way of life in their hands. I know there are many people that are too busy to pay attention to what’s going on; always vote straight party because that...

Final Night of the Democratic National Convention

Last night was the final night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. As anticipated, Hillary Clinton accepted the nomination. I’ll get to that in a few minutes. First, I want to reflect on my impression of last night. The theme of “love” continued throughout. Must be strong memories of the 1960’s. The “children” was the other prominent theme. I hope they don’t plan to mix the two. Don’t get me wrong, I like children. I was one once and some say I have never grown up. Perhaps they will save me too. The selection of the speakers continue to puzzle me. No surprise that Jesse Jackson had a slot. His oration was less than his usual fiery rants and was subdued. He was very hard to understand...

Third Night at the Democratic Convention

I settled in to watch the third night of the Democratic Convention. The razzle-dazzle was much the same as the two previous nights. However, I did notice one thing in the audience.  The arena was packed and people were cheering. I thought the Democrats may have settled their differences and came together. Great! The night got under way and the speakers strolled out and promoted Hillary as anticipated. With a few exceptions, the level of passion was about the same as the previous night—less than window shattering. Love and peace dotted the speeches. Cory Booker must have started a trend. I did notice there must have been lighting problems over one section of the audience. Frustrating for them...

Second Night of the Democratic Convention

The second night of the Democratic Convention was much like the first night. As expected, Hillary Clinton was nominated as the Democratic candidate for President. Bernie’s supporters booed and walked out of the convention. I can understand that.  After stripping out the super delegate votes, Bernie was clearly the winner. But, as I said in my previous post, she was supposed to win all along. Bernie was just the stooge to make her look good. The supporters fell for it—the free stuff and socialism did the trick. Remember, nothing is free, not even the free stuff from the government. Sorry folks! The speakers were equally lacking in enthusiasm and conviction for their candidate just like the pr...

First Night of the Democratic Convention

The first night of the Democratic convention well, was the first night. It was obvious, although attempts were made to show otherwise, it was in chaos. Giving the orchestrators of the convention the benefit of the doubt, I’m sure it was because Debbie Wasserman Schultz was forced to resign from her position at the convention and removed from participating. It struck me as odd that an eight-foot fence was erected around the convention center, mainly to keep out the Bernie Sanders supporters. I was hoping to see more bridge building and bring both sides together. However, Bernie capitulated and threw his support to Hillary Clinton. That was unacceptable with his supporters. They bought into hi...

The Last Night of the Convention

The last night of the convention was exhilarating and much better than the previous night. A cross-section of speakers got everyone pumped up. Ivanka, poised, charming, and intelligent, gave an excellent speech to introduce her father. She is a reflection of him. In fact, all of the children are. The family and employees of the Trump organization dispelled the notions liberals are trying to portray of Mr. Trump. “My father is a fighter.” Ivanka Trump told the viewers in the speech that came from her heart. She also said, “When my father says he will make America great again, he will deliver.” I’m sure Donald is as proud of her as she is of him. The convention culminated with Donald Trump’s e...

Ted Cruz Did It

Just as I thought—Ted Cruz committed political suicide on stage before the American public. Last night’s session of the Republican National Convention wasn’t as good as the previous night. However, it did have ups and downs. Laura Ingraham got everyone fired up. The crowd went wild when she called out the “boys with wounded feelings and bruised egos,” referring to the other Republican candidates who pledged to support Donald Trump, then reneged on that pledge. Ingraham was correct that those candidates must honor their pledge to support Trump. He is now the Republican Nominee. Not supporting Trump as they pledged to do, exposes a grave character flaw. How can any voter ever trust them in the...

Observations of the Republican Convention

Watching the Republican Convention, the banner at the bottom of the page caught my eye stating the vote to nominate Donald Trump was a historic event. I think that is a true statement. It is historic because of the largest vote total in the history of the Republican Party and that is very revealing. Trump has also rallied the country and is exposing the corruption inside the beltway. If you listen to all the pundits and “experts,” they all said Donald Trump could never be elected. Then when he began getting traction, they (the establishment Republicans and Democrats) all began to pile on him using every slimy (and corrupt) trick they could come up with just to keep him from winning. Mr. Trum...

Gobsmacking

I said in my December 2, 2015 post something smells bad and it’s coming from inside the I-495 beltway (http://bit.ly/1YkSYkT). Well, the smell has gotten even worse. I didn’t think it could, but it has. We are at the height of the election season and a lot of light is shining on both parties and the administration. The Democrats put up Bernie Sanders, knowing that he didn’t have a prayer of winning, to make Hillary Clinton look good. Low and behold, Bernie was getting more votes than Hillary but the Democrats rigged the system and gave the delegates to Hillary. Now Bernie’s delegates are furious and causing problems. After more than two years, Trey Gowdy’s report on Benghazi has been release...

Finished My New Book!

What a great way to end the week…. I finished my new book! This one promises to be another fast-paced, suspense-filled book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Keep watching, it will be out soon.  Here is a sneak peek:  A drug cartel aids ISIS in a plan to attack the heartland of the United States. A former Special Operations officer, forced to resign from the Army, leads the planning and attack. Washington is in complete chaos, the borders are wide-open, and the administration hampers efforts to stop the attack.  My writers group keeps telling me they’ll miss me when I’m carted away and placed in the witness protection program. I certainly hope they are wrong and I d...
