Review of Little Miss History Travels to Tombstone

I loved Barbara Mojica’s new book, Little Miss History Travels to Tombstone. When you read this book you’ll learn so many things about the town of Tombstone, AZ. For example, did you know Ed Shiefflin was an Army scout who dreamed of becoming a prospector. His first mine failed, but the second one, called “Lucky Cuss” was one of the most successful ever. Word spread about the new riches in Tombstone and many other people settled there. Before long, the population grew from one hundred to 14,000! Not only that, but also, there were schools, churches, and even a bowling alley.
Who were the Earp Brothers and what famous gunfight happened in Tombstone? How can you see some of the items from the early settlers of Tombstone? You’ll lean so much from this book and you’ll be entertained along the way. As always, Victor Ramon Mojica created wonderful illustrations for this new book. It’s so important for children to learn about our nation’s history. I highly recommend this book. You’ll love it.
