Where I Live
Larry Gerovac was born in Northwestern Indiana in the shadows of U.S. Steel, Inland Steel, the big oil refineries and many of the countries big railroads. His mother was born in Yugoslavia and came to the United States as a twelve year old little girl six months before the start of World War Two. In his youth he collected pop bottles from the alleyways of his hometown. They were like gold. He got two cents for each bottle. He spent every penny on 10 cent comic books. After reading thousands of comics, the fun of reading paid off. In eighth grade he was told he was reading at the twelfth-grade level. After High School he served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged after serving for eight years. After completing his naval service he got his dream job – Air Traffic Controller for the U.S. Government. The dream job ended early because of the Controller strike in 1981. He was forced to find a new job. Luckily the nuclear industry gave him a new home. He loved it. After a great twenty-five years Larry took an early retirement and started writing. He has gone back to his early love for Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Horror and writes hoping to share his stories with others. He has completed the first two books of his God Chronicles trilogy: The Great Angel War and The One Path (available at Amazon). His third book is a sci-fi called The Raygin War. It is a story about what happens when humans meet a warring alien race. The book is going through its final edit. He has started work on the final book of his trilogy and hopes to have it completed this year.
