Normally, YA or New Adult stories are not in my repertoire, but when I read the first five chapters of Barton's white tiger shifter series book one, I was eager to find out how the story would end.

Kaitlin is a strong, memorable heroine paired with a strong, compassionate hero, and that alone is a winning combination. At times the story seemed to meander a bit, but considering the genre, a young woman learning her strength and purpose, the loose ends eventually cleared to a satisfying conclusion.

Add detailed fight scenes, a number of intentional and unintentional antagonists, and you have an enjoyable read. Plenty romance for any romance lover, and enough of a cliff hanger at the end to anticipate book two in the series. I congratulate Barton on her debut, a good start to a writing career worth watching!

Where I Live
Best selling author of Never Forget.

"Life will always knock you down. Learn to roll with the punches and get back up. Then go again."

Catrina Barton is a real go-getter, who in 2006 turned her avid reading addiction since three, into a vigorous passion for writing. Especially New Adult Romances. Drawing on her knowledge as a Kung-Fu Instructor she makes her fight scenes both realistic and action packed.

When not indulging her fertile imagination to craft stories for your reading pleasures she enjoys hiking with her family and amateur belly dancing.

Proud member of many writing and marketing groups. An active participant at Critique Circle and several other crit groups. Her love of writing and her family rival her exhilaration from helping fellow writers. That's why she created her blog: Kitty's Inner Thoughts.

Fave Personal quote:
"An author cannot grow without both constructive criticism and encouragement."
