Book Listings

On July 29, 2015 my poem “To Get Free” won Best of Show and First Place Unpublished and my poem “Generation Awake!” won Second Place Published at the Solano County Fair.

On June 30, 2016, all four of my poems placed in their respective categories at the 2016 Marin County Fair.

“Fair” received 2nd place in Fair Themed Poetry
“Marin Is…” received 3rd place in Marvelous Marin
“From Unity to Community” received 3rd place in Any Other Poetry
“Headline Antidote” received 5th place in Any Other Poetry

"Expectations of a Future" received a Silver Award rosette at the 2017 Alameda County Fair.

On July 27th, 2016, my poem “Master of Peace” won Reserve Best of Show in Poetry and 1st Place in Published Poetry at the 2016 Solano County Fair.

On February 18, 2015 my poem “Prayer for the Shomerim” was published in the Jewish Journal through Kavod v’Nichum. My synagogue later invited me to read it to the board, and printed it in their newsletter, The Voice.

In May 2016 my synagogue sisterhood published my poem “Here, it is Good” on their blog.

On September 23, 2016, the Benicia Herald newspaper published my poem “Sheltering in Places” in their Friday Poetry Corner.

Vallejo, CA
D.L. Lang of Vallejo, CA, has published eight full length poetry collections, including 2016’s Poet Loiterer which Kirkus Reviews described as containing “Free-spirited ideals couched in fairly infectious rhymes.” She also released her debut spoken word album entitled Happy Accidents in 2015. Her poems have been published in the Benicia Herald and the Jewish Journal.

Lang has won awards at area Bay Area county fairs including Best of Show in Poetry in 2015, and Reserve Best of Show in 2016 at the Solano County Fair, and a Silver Award at the 2017 Alameda County Fair.

She is a member of Marin Poetry Center and Academy of American Poets. Lang was a featured performer at Benicia First Tuesday Poets, Marin Poetry Center Traveling Show, and the Vallejo Man March in 2016. She is a regular performer at Poetry by the Bay since 2015.

Lang holds a B.A. in Film & Video Studies with a minor in Judaic Studies from the University of Oklahoma and an A.S. in General Studies from Northern Oklahoma College.
