Adiela Akoo, a recipient of the prestigious Dux Award, is a South African poet/writer with a background in banking and comprehensive healing. Her poems and essays first appeared in print in the quarterly literary journal, The Moving Finger. She has since been published in a variety of magazines and journals, including Fidelities, and the following anthologies: Different Horizons, Sincerely Yours and Emotional Journey's. Lost in a Quatrain is her debut collection and poems from this collection have, since launching, been quoted in the South African House of Parliament, nominated Poem of the Day, included in a historic apartheid anthology, Twenty-Five Years of Freedom, marking 25 years of democracy in South Africa, included in the anthology Tales for Love and various other publications. She also won the Poetry in my Mind August 2019 poem contest with her poem "As You Perceive' which has been translated into Bangla and Turkish.
