Port Hole Publications was founded in 2000 by bestselling author Ellen Gunderson Traylor, as a means to reissue her own books after she had procured the rights from her former publishers, Tyndale House, Harvest House and Thomas Nelson/Word. Over the years Ellen was approached by other authors who had projects they wanted to see in print. Since her primary focus was on the reissuing of her own titles, she did not pursue many outside projects. But in 2009, the demand and the interest had grown to the point that she could no longer refuse some of the outstanding projects that came her way. Pictured left is Ellen with Amazon.com executives in the Amazon board room, building an ongoing relationship that benefits her company. Assistance came from various editors and graphic artists, as well as a nationally renowned printer and distributor. Port Hole books are listed in the Ingram Distribution system, the largest book wholesaler in the world. They are also listed on Amazon.com and many other book sites. Port Hole is set up to put any of its books in eBook format. Port Hole is a supplier for the Christian Booksellers Association, and has been an exhibitor at various CBA conventions. Port Hole Publications has warehouses in Polson, MT and Gardiner, OR. Ellen has taught editing and writing for publication at various writers conferences, and at Whitworth College and Eastern Washington University in Spokane, WA. For several years she conducted "Ellen Traylor's WRITE-ON Seminars," accredited by Whitworth College, teaching aspiring authors the ropes of publication. Because Ellen has, herself, been an author and has worked with many publishers on her own projects, she is well aware of authors' feelings, anxieties, and dreams. She brings a sympathetic heart and listening ear to those who put their "babies" in her keeping. Ellen finds that she experiences almost as much joy from helping others achieve their publishing dreams as she does in seeing her own books in print. Let us look at your project.
