Jack has lived in Thailand for many years and his books describe his experiences about both Thais and foreigners, from a foreigner’s perspective. His views, assumptions and opinions of his life in Thailand are based from his western social background and western based paradigms. Thailand does not always make absolute sense to many foreigners, but for many, the advantages of a life in the Land of Smiles far out way a life in the west. After many years of observing the behavior of both locals and visitors in the main tourist areas of Thailand, the author felt a need to attempt to explain the many differences in mindsets, cultural behaviors and cultural expectations. Some books are serious, others are humerus, but all tell true stories that explain to the reader what a life in Thailand can present for a foreigner wishing to try a cultural experience vastly different from their own. No subject is left untouched.
