Although I am relatively new to these books and only halfway through Kraken - Volume 2 at this time, I can honestly say author Max Hawthorne makes another huge splash and slam-dunk with this entry of his series. The book thus far has proven to be a thrill a minute . It truly reminds me and I'm sure many others, why the ocean's of the world are so terrifying and why the dark depths (and just what they might be harboring) bring out our deepest primal fears. These denizens of the deep make 'Jaws' look like &$#@*^! sushi. He (Max) also outdoes himself with his book covers everytime it seems. Max, you've got me hooked, just reel me in.

Sincerely, Steve P Carrington
