This was a wonderful love story full of intrigue, adventure, survival, and a love so strong, it conquers human evil. Leslie Michaels is a young pioneer woman, who wasn't happy about moving to an unchartered area with her father, when her mother died and she lost her husband and young child during a blizzard as well. Together they endured venturing a journey to new discovered lands, and just when they were comfortably nestled down in the small community of Hollow Pass, another tragedy happens, leaving Leslie alone, frightened, and in mortal danger. Her newfound lone journey toward self-discovery, survival, and finding love once again, left me not wanting to find an ending to this story. It was unexpected, it was entertaining, and spellbounding all rolled into one.
