I really enjoyed this book! The author has us wait a few chapters before introducing the main character, JD Cordell, an interesting twist providing the reader time to share in JD's journey to manhood, a journey greatly influenced by family values and traditions. Interwoven throughout the book are military actions, political corruption and international scheming dedicated to the downfall of the U.S.A., with characters that serve to remind us in sometimes shockingly savage ways that evil exists in the world ... but JD will be there to continue the fight in the best traditions of his family against those who would try to destroy our country.
