Writing a good thriller is mostly about the pace you set for the story. The way all the pieces fall into place, how you build suspense, how believable are your characters, the setting. It’s not an easy job. D.C. Gilbert achieves this with style. The story flows smoothly. Easy and fast to read, which is a good thing when it comes to thrillers. There’s nothing that stands in the way of the story. If you enjoy thrillers, this is your thing. Also, the author does a fine job of detailing the world. Put differently, he knows his stuff. And you can tell. It’s always refreshing to read a book written by someone who knows what they’re writing about. So, yeah, this is a great book. Well worth the time.
